Our Mission & Vision

The mission of PromiseLand Church of Sherman is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ in an effort to help people develop a life changing relationship with Jesus. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry and encourage people from all walks of life to develop a life changing relationship with Jesus.

Larry Flenniken, Pastor Emeritus

Is the founding pastor of PromiseLand Church of Sherman, Pastor Flenniken has a passion for carefully unpacking the truths of Scripture. Larry and Judy Flenniken have served in the ministry for over 40 years. Their heart felt love for people and willingness to accept people from all backgrounds and walks of life have enabled their ministry to impact the lives of so many that others have all but given up on.

Pastor Tommy & Renae Sutherland

Tommy Sutherland, Pastor

Tommy & Renae Sutherland have been married for 21 years and have been partners in ministry since the beginning. God has allowed them to be a part of Kingdom Work and has used them to encourage people of all ages in their walk with God.
